Dr. Stanislaus uses platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to help slow and even reverse hair loss and thinning. What’s the recovery time for a PRP hair loss treatment?

There is zero downtime. Just avoid harsh dyes and chemicals on your hair for 48 hours after the treatment.

How many treatments will I need?

The recommended course of therapy is a series of 3 treatments spaced 1 month apart, with an additional treatment 3 months later. After the initial series of treatments, Dr. Stanislaus may suggest a maintenance regimen, which is generally 1 to 3 treatments per year.

How long does it take to see results with PRP for hair loss?

Within 2 weeks, patients typically start to see improvement in hair texture, hair shaft thickness, and growth of new hairs; however, it typically takes 3 to 6 months from the initial treatment to see measurable results.
